Does anybody familiar with making NTSC-to-PAL conversions for the NES know anything about how to properly convert using the right formulas?
For example, if the injured invincibility timer in Super Mario Bros. is set to last for 8 seconds in the NTSC (29.97 FPS) release, then for PAL (25 FPS) that would be 6 seconds.
I hope I get this formula right:
8 / 29.97 x 25 = 6.673340007
(and when should i round an integer up or down?)
Likewise, if a number is to be increased (rather than decreased) for PAL speed-up, would I use this formula to do so?
80 / 23.976 x 25 = 83.41675008
Thank you,
Ben (SMB2J-2Q)
